Pacific Cup (or Pac Cup) is an annual team competition between the Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver GLTA clubs at the B division or lower.

Eligibility

In addition to active STA membership you’ll need a GLTA rating which can be obtained by playing in any GLTA tournament. Some exceptions may be made if you do not have a GLTA rating - please confirm with the captain(s).

Men

GLTA Rating B and below

USTA Rating 3.5 and below

Women

GLTA Rating A and below

USTA Rating 4.0 and below

Depending on the year and number of interested players, there may be a ladder or try out process to determine who makes the team.

Format & Location

Each participating club plays an equal number of matches (usually 12 singles & 12 doubles in total) against the other clubs. Up to 1 singles and 2 doubles matches per player. Whoever wins the most matches, wins the trophy and all the bragging rights.

The cup rotates locations each year as clubs take turns hosting.
